To the Park

I just wanted to share some cute pictures of the kids at the park a couple of weekends ago. :)

Spider Boy

We now call Jack 'Spider Boy'. He climbs everything. I am not exaggerating. EVERYTHING. He's a wild man! Grandma Chris was here over the weekend, and she just kept shaking her head and laughing at him :) Here are a few pictures from recently, showing his amazing 'spider skills'. We sure do have our hands full with this one.

And this one is just cute!

A busy week

Long time, no post, I know. It's been a whirlwind of excitement around here!
First and foremost, Annabelle is now officially a Kindergartner! Last Tuesday, Ryan brought her to her first day. He unloaded her supplies, helped her hang her backpack up and then Annabelle turns to him and says, "Ok, Daddy. You can go now." WOW!
Then, I was able to pick her up from her first day, so of course I cried when she walked out of her room... she says, "Mom, I liked it. I want to ride the bus home. And I want to have hot lunch." Ok, then. She's really growing up! At any rate, she loves school, and her teacher is great. Hooray!

I am back at teaching after a year and a half off. I'm teaching first grade, part time. It's a huge jump down from fifth- but it will be fun. Jack was in daycare full time while we figured this all out- I was lucky to have the time to be back in the classroom full time to get ready and spend the first full week with my students. We've started the schedule that will become 'normal' for us this week.

So our lives got busier and fuller overnight. We are all excited for the changes!

Here's a few random shots from the past month

Jack now knows what ice cream is, and can say it. He'll go get the scoop, and start banging on the freezer saying, "ice cream"! Papa Stan, arent' you proud?

Our Cougs may be having a rough year, but we sure had fun at the game in Seattle!

Birthday Fun

We had Annabelle's birthday party early this year before our good friends moved. We had it at a jumping castle place in town. It was a blast! Here are some pictures. Hard to believe my little girl will be 5 and starting kindergarten soon. Time flies.

Yes, I made that cake!

Here is Jack sliding down... doesn't look like much fun, but he kept going back!

Priest Lake

Paradise...

We just spent a week at Priest Lake, Idaho with Grandma and Grandpa Barge. It was paradise. Truly bliss! We all had such a great time, filled with sun, sand, swimming and family. Jenn and Charlie made it (we missed you, Brian!), along with Eric and his girlfriend Megan. We had various overnight guests through out the week. Jack and Charlie had a great time together- helping Grandma in the kitchen (they only helped in there because she always had food!) digging in the sand for hours, eating, running down the dock to see who could catch them, snacking, drinking juice, the list goes on and on. Those two will be terrors before we know it! Jack showed Charlie how to climb, so that was fun. Annabelle was so happy just playing in the lake, digging in the sand, hanging out with Eric and Megan (mostly Megan, but Eric was always around too... :) ).
All in all, we had a wonderful week. It was hard coming back to reality.

Digging, digging, digging. Jack loved the sand! Not so much the water, though!

Family float time!

Driving the JetSki!

Jack and Cousin Charlie playing naked washers- they spent probably 45 minutes playing with those washers!

Annabelle LOVED hanging out with Eric and Megan!

This is the life.

Thanks again to Grandma and Grandpa Barge for the wonderful week, and for making it all happen. We love you so very much!

Future Mechanic?

Our neighbor, Joe, was laying under his truck yesterday fixing something, and Jack became obsessed with what he was doing. He was grabbing all sorts of wrenches, etc. and following Joe around. Later, when Joe was done working on his truck, Jack decided to double check his work. Future gearhead? Maybe.

And a quick photo of my pretty girl... hard to believe she's almost 5!
