Christmas in Iowa

We ventured to Iowa for Christmas. Luckily, we were already there when the storms hit, and had a blast in the snow. None of us mind the cold and snow, and in fact it was a fun change from the dreary rain we get around here! We opened our family presents here at home before we left. We had 3 Christmases while there, plus lots of visits with family. Jack was quite confused though, because he kept getting birthday presents from various people, on top of all the different Christmas presents. He kept asking, "is it my birthday again?" The kids had a blast with Grandma Carol, Papa Stan and cousins Sierra and Eric. We were very busy, and are now totally exhausted. It was totally worth it though! Thanks to all our family for a wonderful trip.

This is at the Hormel Spam Museum in Austin Minnesota. It was a great little museum, complete with lots of spam! Ryan bought some, and cooked it up a couple of days. The kids all actually liked it!

Checking out the museum.

I see you! Jack did not put his Lightening McQueen car down all week. He raced it all over Grandma's house, the walls, chairs, floor, stools...

Riding on Papa's tractor

Playing the Wii with Eric

Christmas Eve photo ops!

The big kids had a blast riding this tricycle!

Snowy fun

Happy Birthday Jack!

Jack turned three on December 20. It was a low key day, but we had lots of fun!

Thanks, Grandma for the Edward train!

Jack's Christmas Program

Here is a short video of one song during Jack's Christmas program... it was so adorable! He stood up there and sang what he knew, and would clap and smile when the song was done. :)

Halloween, take 2

Jack wore a batman suit we got from a friend around the house for a couple of days. He makes flying noises, and says that he is going to fight crime. What a hoot!

Long time...

I haven't had the camera out much this last month. I know, bad mommy! But here are a few shots from our weekend in Spokane for Thanksgiving. We had a great time!

We tried to get a picture with Santa. Charlie and Jack were NOT having it...

Santa was giving Jack a candy cane. That was the only time Jack even looked at him!

Annabelle painting pottery for Grandma and Grandpa. We hope you like your mugs!

Christmas at Grandma's early- the kids got new scooters. What fun!

This deserves some explanation- when we were kids, mom would put up these felt letters that spelled Noel on the fridge. We would ALWAYS change it to say Leon. Always. So when my Dad found these light up letters that spell Noel, it was our mission to figure out how to change them around. It took 2 years, but Ryan figured out a way. The boys snuck away after Thanksgiving Dinner and did it. It was so funny! These outside Christmas lights are Dad's pride and joy. He laughed, but promptly asked when and how we would put them back the right way. Thanks for the laughs, guys!
