Grandma Carol and Jack

This is Ryan taking the kids on a boat ride through Grandma and Grandpa's front yard. Yes, that is supposed to be their yard. The water once covered the entire lawn. Mason City got major rain that flooded the pond several weeks ago. It has yet to recede all the way. You can see where the water line once was on the shed. It was wild!

We made it home from our whirlwind trip to Minnesota and Iowa. Ryan had a great time fishing in Canada, and we all had fun hanging out with Grandma Carol and Papa Stan. We spent a weekend in Minneapolis, a couple of days in Mason City, IA, and then the rest of the week in Northern Minnesota at Great-Grandpa Jerry's lake cabin.

Packing with Daddy

The kids "helped" Daddy pack for his fishing trip last night. As you can see, they were a huge help! Ryan is off to Red Lake, Ontario to fish for the week, and the kids and I are flying into Minneapolis next Friday to meet Ryan and his family for another week. It will be an adventure, for sure. Hooray for summer!!

Notice Jack's big boy haircut- he is growing up too fast.

Father's Day in the snow!

We went and found snow today! It was awesome. We drove to the Mt. Baker ski area, which still had TONS of snow; definitely more than we anticipated. Clearly, we did not dress for the occasion, but we sledded anyway. Annabelle was LOVING it- she had a blast! Jack wasn't so sure about the snow... he preferred to be dry. :)

Happy Father's Day!
And to all our friends and family in Mason City, Iowa and other Midwestern parts, we are thinking of you and hope you get dry soon!

Here are a few photos sitting on the camera to share...

Jack eating Annabelle's cereal... he is very proud of himself!

Jack thinks it's funny to get a purse/bag and go to the door and wave 'bye-bye'. This time, he got Ryan's keys, too, and was trying to put the keys in the door. Too funny!

We're back!

Forgive my delinquency in updating this. We have been going non stop for the past week or two...
Anyway, here are a couple of cute pictures from recent days.

Annabelle can play a few games on the Nintendo Wii by herself, and Jack needs to be a part of it. He stands there next to whoever is playing and holds the other wii remote.

It has begun... the tantrums. Jack threw a fit yesterday in the hallway... just cried and kicked... oh the drama.

Annabelle has a ballet show tomorrow- they are doing a number to Singing in the Rain, wearing neon green raincoats circa 1970 (we are talking pleather, people.). They had a rehearsal yesterday, and the first thing Annabelle said when she was done was "I am SO hot." I'll be sure to post a video of it.

Keep thinking summer! I'm sick of the cool rainy days.
